Our Proudest Moment

We had one of our prouder moments last Saturday. It was a time when we could sit back and look upon the fruit of discipleship, glorifying our Father in heaven for doing such a wonderful thing. It was the day where our youth leaders would put together a whole youth group service without our help whatsoever. The Saturday before, we had our volunteer youth workers Ruth and Ntobeko spend time with the Zombodze and Logoba youth group leaders (respectively) so we really had no part in any of it.
What transpired was an amazing picture of growth, responsibility, leadership, and enthusiasm that we would have never have seen otherwise. We saw our youth workers Ruth and Ntobeko take on a sense of ownership over these youth groups (which is our goal), and we saw our youth leaders step up and take ownership of their youth group (which is also our goal!). Even though things may seem like they take a lot longer here in Africa, the fruit of the growth is worth it.

Our Proudest Moment: Towards the end of Logoba’s youth service, the youth saw that I (Mark) was sick, battling flu-like symptoms for eight days. They took the initiative and called me to the front, sang a song to the Lord, and then laid hands on me as they all prayed. I don’t know if there’s any other moment that could make me more proud of them than this. Thank you Jesus!
Thank you for your partnership with us in ministering the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ to the nation of Swaziland, one Swazi at a time. Please continue praying for the ministry here, as it is very much a spiritual work. Thank you!
